01What we collect

Information you give us

When you use our contact form, we collect the details you enter:

• what you are interested in (for example, a quote or a demonstration)
• first and last name
• company
• email address and, if you add it, phone number
• your training goals or message

If you call or email us, we keep the details you share in that conversation.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our server and analytics tools record standard technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and the date and time of your visit.

What we do not collect

The site has no user accounts and does not take payments, so we do not collect passwords or card details online. We do not ask for sensitive information such as health, racial or ethnic origin, religion or sexual orientation, and we ask you not to send it.

• to answer your questions and respond to quote and demonstration requests
• to arrange sales, rentals and demonstrations through our dealer network
• to follow up about your request and, where you have shown interest, about related products and news (you can opt out at any time)
• to understand how the site is used and improve it
• to keep the site secure and prevent misuse
• to meet legal obligations

03Who we share it with

We share personal information only as described here:

• Authorized dealers. Sales and rentals are handled through our exclusive dealer network, so we may pass your request and contact details to the dealer for your area so they can help you.
• Service providers. Companies that run parts of our site and communications for us, such as website hosting, email delivery and Google Analytics. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
• Legal reasons. When required by law, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
• Business transfers. If Virtual Forklift is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information.

04Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use:

• Essential cookies that make the site and the contact form work.
• Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, which tell us how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. To opt out of Google Analytics on all sites, use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Learn how Google uses data in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Our site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there is no agreed standard for them.

05How long we keep it

We keep contact and request details for as long as we need them to respond and to manage our relationship with you, and longer only where the law requires (for example, for tax or accounting records). Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

06How we protect it

The site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to personal information to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

07Children

This site is for businesses and training professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

08Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy
• correct information that is wrong
• delete your information
• stop sending you follow-up or marketing messages

To make a request, use our contact form or call 833-412-9444. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

09U.S. state privacy rights

Residents of some U.S. states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others with consumer privacy laws, may have additional rights, such as the right to know, correct and delete personal information, to opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising, and to appeal our decision on a request. We do not sell personal information. To use any of these rights, contact us as described in section 8. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our response, and we will tell you the outcome.

10Visitors outside the U.S.

Virtual Forklift is based in the United States, and the information we collect is processed in the United States. If you contact us from another country, your information may also be shared with the authorized dealer for your region.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
